This is the perfect itinerary for who have a limited time. Starting since the reception at the airport, it maximizes your time, guaranteeing a splendid entrance to the Pantanal at it's best time: the sunset when birds and animals are moving themselves for sleeping. In one of these days, is the fantastic exchange from the Swampland (Pantanal) to the Plateau (Chapada), having climbed about 500m in 164 km. Waking up in Chapada, you use even this last day to have wonderful panoramic views or relax of the journey having bath in delicious waterfalls before the transfer to the airport (which takes only 1 hour). You are not going to sleep in the warm Cuiabá, but there is a city tour in between Pantanal and Chapada in order for you to comprehend the social-environmental aspects of this wonderful region. Considering that in the Dry Season animals are looking for water, and on the Wet Season they are concentrated on the few mound hills, the itinerary is changed, offering - from the three nights in Pantanal - two of them where is the best attraction.

1st day: CUIABÁ/ PANTANAL - Santa Tereza *
Pick up at the airpot in Cuiabá and transfer to Pantanal. After traveling 100 km until Poconé then 65 km along the Transpantaneira highway with several stops for observation of the flora and fauna. Arrival to the Hotel Fazenda Santa Tereza, located, 3 km far from the road, on the border of the Pixaim River (High Pantanal). Lunch and, in the afternoon, boat expedition along the river, with opportunity to observe reptiles, birds and aquatic mammals, in large activity during the sunset. Piranha fishing. Optional return at night with Cayman spotlighting.

2nd day: PANTANAL - Santa Tereza/ Campo do Jofre/ Santa Tereza
During the whole day is a terrestrial safari down the Transpantaneira road until one of its most beautiful areas - the Fields. Opportunity to see rare birds and many other animals such as capybaras and caiman. Lunch in a typical farm of the Pantanal - where there is another chance of watching the local inhabitants way of life. Return for arrival at Santa Tereza in the end of the afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

3rd day: PANTANAL - Santa Tereza/ Piuval
After breakfast, departure to the Pousada Piuval - a traditional cattle ranch situated 3 km from the highway with access along a private track -located on the Flooding Field (Low Pantanal). Accommodation, lunch and, in the afternoon, is a boat trip along the pretty 'Baía do Piuval', with a chance to see a beautiful sunset or a horse riding through the flooded field and mound hills. Return to the lodge, dinner and overnight.

4th day: PANTANAL - Piuval / SCRUBLAND - Chapada dos Guimarães (N. Park)
Appreciation of sunrise in Pantanal in a hiking and lunch in Cuiabá (included into a short City-tour). Then on to a completely distinct environment: the Chapada dos Guimarães and its National Park were, with walks through the Scrubland there is the chance to take relaxing dips in its many waterfalls and crystalline rivers. Visit to the cave Casa de Pedra (which has an underground river), views of the Morro de São Jerônimo (860m) and the highest waterfall inn the region: the Véu de Noiva, with its fall of 86 m entering a majestic canyon where the sunset can be observed. For the adept, time and instruments for watching the stars. Having already been to the town of the same name and being accommodated in a hotel in the center of the town, visits to the Cemetery and the church of N. Sra. Sant'Anna (C 18th) built by indigenous people. Dinner.

5th day: SCRUBLAND - Chapada dos Guimarães ('Aroe Jari' )
Visit to the second largest sandstone cave formation in Brazil, with 800m. After traveling approx. 40 km, as well as a 4 km walk trough the Scrubland, with different forms of vegetation and the presence of enigmatic rock formations, then reaching the opening of the cave where it's possible to enter as far as the second chamber to witness the internal waterfall there. Next to the cave is the Lagoa Azul (blue lagoon), to appreciate a natural spectacle. Time for a dip and lunch by a stream.

6th day: SCRUBLAND - Chapada dos Guimarães/ CUIABÁ
After breakfast, departure on route to the Mirante da Geodésia at an altitude of 630 m, a site with a beautiful panorama with an immense horizon from where a dazzling view of the Central Brazilian Plateau and the Pantanal plain can be had (optional observation of sunrise). Return to the pousada, check out, visit to the Salgadeira waterfall, where two distinct geological formations and present and return**to Cuiabá due to arrive at 10:00 am (embarking from 11:30am).

* itinerary of the Dry Season. For the Wet Season we reserve 2 nights in Piuval and 1 night in Santa Tereza. The order of the lodges depend on the arrival in Cuiabá (first in Santa Tereza if until noon; in Piuval if in the afternoon);
** in case of later departure from Cuiabá, should be done the Cidade de Pedra itinerary on the 4thd day evening; Aroe Jari in the 5th day and the National Park in the 6th day.
